⭐ Quantum Security Community – Community Guidelines

:compass: Welcome to the Quantum Security Community

This community brings together people working across PQC migration, crypto-agility, Q-Day readiness, CRQC timelines, quantum-safe architectures, standards, quantum sensing, OT/CNI security, and the security of emerging quantum technologies.

To keep discussions high-signal, professional, and welcoming, we follow the guidelines below.

:star: 1. Be Professional, Evidence-Based, and Respectful

We’re a global community of practitioners.

Please keep all discussions:

  • factual

  • constructive

  • respectful

  • technically grounded

No personal attacks, sarcasm disguised as expertise, or dismissiveness.

We welcome disagreement - but challenge ideas, not people.

:star: 2. No Hype, No Fearmongering

Quantum security already suffers from misinformation.

This community is committed to:

  • no hype

  • no exaggerated timelines

  • no fear-based messaging

  • no vendor scare tactics

If you speculate, say so clearly.

:star: 3. Keep Discussions Vendor-Neutral

You may reference tools, libraries, or real-world experiences, but:

  • No sales pitches

  • No product promos

  • No affiliate links

  • No disguised marketing

If you represent a vendor, disclose it.

:star: 4. Stay on Topic

Each category has a purpose.

Please post in the most relevant one:

  • PQC migration

  • Crypto-agility

  • Q-Day readiness

  • CRQC capability

  • Quantum-safe architectures

  • OT/CNI security

  • Quantum sensing

  • Cryptocurrency quantum risk

  • Standards & regulation

  • Research & papers

  • Tools & resources

  • Secure quantum computing

  • Events

  • Jobs

If you’re unsure, use General — moderators will help move topics.

:star: 5. Share Knowledge Generously

Many members are early in their journey.

Helpful contributions include:

  • migration experiences

  • architecture sketches

  • learned lessons

  • reading suggestions

  • tools & templates

  • regulatory insights

  • failure stories

  • models, frameworks, diagrams

The more the community shares, the stronger we all become.

:star: 6. Protect Confidential Information

Do not share:

  • proprietary data

  • internal architecture diagrams

  • client information

  • non-public vulnerabilities

  • unpublished research without permission

If in doubt → redact or anonymise.

:star: 7. No Trading, Investment, or Speculation Talk

In the Cryptocurrency Quantum Security category:

:check_mark: Protocol security

:check_mark: Migration paths

:check_mark: Timelines

:check_mark: Attack models

:cross_mark: No price predictions

:cross_mark: No trading chat

:cross_mark: No investment advice

This is a technical security community - not a crypto-market community.

:star: 8. Respect Moderators and Housekeeping

Moderators may:

  • move topics

  • close threads

  • remove off-topic / low-effort posts

  • remind members of guidelines

  • ban repeat offenders

This ensures quality and safety for all.

:star: 9. Use Tags Sparingly

Tags are for cross-cutting themes, not category duplication.

Examples:

  • tnfl

  • qec

  • nist

  • blockchain

  • hybrid-architecture

  • ot

If unsure, skip tags.

:star: 10. Be Inclusive

The community spans:

FS, telco, cloud, CNI, cybersecurity, cryptography, quantum research, policy, academia, hardware labs, startups, national agencies, and more.

Be welcoming.

Be patient.

Assume good intent.

Help others learn.

:star: 11. Anonymous or Pseudonymous Participation Is Allowed

Quantum-security work often intersects with:

  • sensitive internal programs

  • regulated environments

  • government policy

  • proprietary labs

  • NDAs

Pseudonyms are fine - as long as behavior remains professional.

:star: 12. Report Issues Quickly

If you see:

  • spam

  • misinformation

  • aggressive behavior

  • dangerous advice

  • compliance/policy violations

  • security vulnerabilities

  • vendor trolling

Please report it (flag) or contact moderators privately.

We’ll act quickly.

:star: Final Word

Quantum security is a complex, multidisciplinary challenge - no single group or field can tackle it alone.

Thank you for contributing your expertise, curiosity, and professionalism.

Together we can build a clearer, safer, quantum-ready future.
